CREATIVE DIRECTION / MELBOURNE

One clear idea.
Across your whole brand.

Creative direction for businesses that need their brand, packaging, print and digital presence to work together. I’m Gaurav Sharma, a Melbourne-based creative director working with clients in Australia and internationally.

Make the next design decision easier.

A business can have a good logo and still feel inconsistent. A brochure speaks one visual language, the website another, and each new piece starts from scratch. Creative direction establishes a shared point of view, so individual designs belong to the same business.

My practice spans identity, packaging, print and multimedia. Since co-founding Creative Ideas in 2007 and launching WeareCreatives in 2014, I’ve continued to manage both businesses alongside Saga Designs. That experience informs how I connect the overall idea with the details of each application.

SHAPED AROUND YOUR BRIEF

What we can work on.

The final deliverables are agreed for your project or set out in the package you select.

01

Brand review

Look at your current identity, communication and customer touchpoints to identify what should be kept, clarified or developed.

02

Visual direction

Define the relationship between typography, colour, imagery and layout around the audience and the brief.

03

Design across channels

Connect the direction to the agreed applications, whether those are packaging, a website, a catalogue or a campaign.

04

Review and refinement

Assess the work as a whole, then resolve the details that make the different pieces feel consistent.

A GOOD START

What to bring
to the brief.

Share your business goals, current brand materials, audience, planned deliverables and launch date. If several people will approve the work, agree who will bring their feedback together. We can then define a scope that matches the project.

Before we begin.

Is creative direction the same as a logo design?

A logo is one part of an identity. Creative direction looks across the wider visual language and its applications. A logo can be included when it is part of the agreed scope.

Can you work with an existing identity?

Yes. The starting point can be your current logo and brand materials. The brief will establish whether the project needs refinement, an extension or a new direction.

How do I commission a project?

Email your brief to gaurav@wearecreatives.co so we can agree the deliverables and approach. For individual design packages, use the WeareCreatives website or Etsy shop.
